Transit Custom wet belt replacement

Ford’s 2.0 EcoBlue Transit Custom uses a wet timing belt running in the engine oil. When it fails, it can wreck the engine — and the repair bill is far worse than changing it on time.

We replace the wet belt at £1,200 inc VAT, and that price includes a new sump and timing cover, not just the belt.

Included:

  • Wet timing belt, tensioner and idlers
  • New seals and gaskets
  • Ford-spec oil and oil filter
  • Sump off and oil pickup strainer cleaned
  • Test drive
  • 12-month parts and labour warranty

Ford’s interval is now 6 years or 100,000 miles. Many specialists recommend sooner. If you’re due, or you’ve been quoted without a new sump and cover, give us a call on 01405 812774 or book online.

Bertie's Service Garage

Amazing service, always willing to help. I won't ever use anybody else. I highly recommend Berties. Pricing is fair and you get a 5☆ service every time.

Went into what used to be our family garage to find the owner has deservingly retired. My visit was to enquire about a broken coil spring mentioned my service & mot was due next month but as keyworkers can’t be without my car. Young gentleman told me not a problem they could start work right away. My car was dropped off at 9am had repair work done, service and MOT and was delivered back to me at 2pm fabulous service, reasonable price highly recommended. I’ll be back Thankyou very much👌👍

I can highly recommend Bertie’s service garage, I recently used Josh and his team for my MOT and they were extremely helpful and very professional whilst carrying out this job for me. As it is a routine job they made it look easy but I was very confident in their work and knowledge. I will definitely be using them going forward. Thanks again.
